Del Marcos Hotel, Palm Springs

Among all the greatness in mid century capital Palm Springs, this is a true little gem. The 1947 built Del Marcos Hotel overwhelmed us with a passion for detail rarely seen. It starts with the selected furniture adorning the bright hotel lobby and doesn’t end in the themed rooms. (Yes, there are themed rooms, but they’re not a bit as cheesy as one would expect from usual “themed rooms”). There’s old swing music quietly playing from hidden speakers around the pool so you can’t help but feel like you arrived in mid century heaven. The only problem is you don’t want to leave anymore. In the rare case you still want to discover what’s going on outside of heaven, Palm Springs downtown is only a short walk away.
